Olympiad achievers receive medals and certificates; State topper awarded cash scholarship

Saiyed Sarawan, Kaushambi, July 27, 2026: St. Sarang Convent School, Saiyed Sarawan, Kaushambi, organised its Annual Investiture Ceremony, Leadership Oath and Awards Distribution Programme in a well-planned and dignified manner. The event aimed to entrust selected students with leadership and administrative responsibilities, administer the oath of office, and recognise students and teachers for their outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements.

Mr. Sajid Sayeedi, Manager, and Sheikh Abu Saeed Shah Ehsanullah Muhammadi Safawi, President, congratulated the students on their achievements. They presented badges and ceremonial sashes to the newly elected student leaders and distributed medals and certificates to the students who excelled in the Olympiad examinations.

The programme was smoothly conducted by Ms. Sani-e-Zahra, Teacher at St. Sarang Convent School. It commenced with a collective prayer followed by the inspirational prayer song, "Teri Hai Zameen, Tera Aasman." Students who had secured outstanding results in the Olympiad examinations were honoured with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with certificates of merit.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the felicitation of Mohammad Mudir, a Class II student, who secured the State Rank 1 in the Olympiad. He was specially invited to the stage and presented with a certificate of achievement, an honour and a cash scholarship of ₹1,000. Similarly, Ataur Rahman, a Class VI student, was honoured with the Excellence Award for his outstanding performance. Teachers were also felicitated in recognition of their dedicated guidance and continuous efforts in nurturing the students' success.

In the second session of the programme, responsibilities were formally assigned to the Student Council for the academic session 2026–2027. Mohammad Faheem of Class VIII was appointed Head Boy, while Iqra Fatima was appointed Head Girl. Both student leaders were presented with badges and ceremonial sashes, after which Ms. Aroos Khanam administered the oath of office.

The newly appointed student leaders pledged to uphold the school's values, discipline and dignity, discharge their responsibilities with honesty and dedication, and serve as role models for their fellow students. Appointments were also made for the posts of Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, Discipline In-charge, Sports Captain, Cultural Head, House Captains, Prefects and Class Monitors.

For Raman House, responsibilities were assigned to Yamna Fatima and Ayan Ahmad; for Kalam House, to Zeena Shahid and Mumshad Ahmad; for Sarojini House, to Bushra Fatima and Furqan Ameer; and for Sir Syed House, to Nabiha Mustaqeem and Ansar Khan. The respective House In-charge teachers formally handed over the House Flags to the newly appointed captains. On the occasion, it was emphasised that each House Flag symbolises unity, responsibility, teamwork and the prestige of the institution. House Captains were encouraged to promote healthy competition, cooperation and a spirit of collective achievement among their fellow students. Class teachers from Class I to Class VIII also presented badges to their respective Class Monitors.

During the ceremony, the school received two prestigious honours from the Indian Talent Olympiad (ITO). The first was the State Level Golden School Award, presented in recognition of the school's exceptional student participation in the Little Champ Olympiad Exams 2025–26, quality teaching, academic excellence, the tireless efforts of its teachers and its commitment to encouraging students.

The school was also honoured with the National Level Golden School Award for its outstanding participation and performance in the Indian Talent Olympiad Exams 2025–26. The award acknowledged the institution's high academic standards, remarkable scholastic achievements, holistic development of students and exemplary contribution to the field of education. Both honours reflect the school's continued commitment to educational excellence and its consistent record of outstanding performance.

In the concluding session, all newly appointed student leaders collectively reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the school's honour, discipline and core values and to serve the institution with sincerity, integrity and responsibility.

The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, "Jana Gana Mana." The ceremony not only celebrated academic excellence but also reinforced the values of leadership, service, discipline, teamwork, integrity and patriotism among students. It conveyed the message that a successful student is not merely one who secures high marks in examinations, but one who grows into a responsible, ethical and inspiring individual.
