"Those Who Cannot Maintain Good Relations with Their Friends Have No Right to Teach or Preach the Seerah (the Life of the Prophet ﷺ): Prof. Munemi"
Prof. Syed Shah Shamimuddin Ahmad Munemi’s Address at the Milad Conference Held at Khanqah Arifia, Saiyed Sarawan
Press Release - September 8, Kaushambi:
"Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent by Allah as a mercy to all of humanity. This is why His mercy and love are not confined to any particular group. Rising above all divisions such as caste, color, race, region and language, He addressed everyone equally and provided all with an equal opportunity to benefit from Allah's mercy. Anyone, from any part of the world, irrespective of their caste and race, who recites the kalimah (testimony of faith), not only gains an equal right to stand among Muslims, but Islam even entrusts them with the pulpit and mihrab to lead the prayer and congratulations."
These were the words expressed by Prof. Syed Shah Shamimuddin Ahmad Munemi from Patna during the 16th Milad Conference held at Khanqah Arifia, Saiyed Sarawan, Kaushambi.
Dr. Munemi, Director of Khanqah Munemia, Patna, also stated in his address that today, we are remembering a personality whose moment was witnessed by those around him. Every single act of his, even his smile, has eyewitnesses. Remarkably, many of these witnesses were initially his enemies, who later embraced Islam and became his companions. Dr. Munemi further mentioned that today's world is more focused on destroying its opposition. Everyone wants their rivals to either perish or at least be subdued. However, the way the Prophet ﷺ treated his opponents was not about eliminating them or silencing them through oppression, but rather calling to them to righteousness through high moral contact, forgiveness and granting them complete freedom. There were many instances where the Prophet ﷺ refrained from being harsh with even the staunchest of enemies, thinking that their future generations might embrace the truth and support his mission. Thus, He demonstrated kindness not only to His followers but even to His enemies, setting a supreme example for those who claim to follow His Seerah but are unwilling to show any leniency to their opponents. Therefore, those who do not treat their opponents with kindness should not even claim to understand the Seerah. Dr Munemi also touched upon education and women's rights in light of the Seerah.
For many years, under the guidance of Daiye Islam Sheikh Abu Saeed Shah Ehsanullah Muhammadi Safawi, the managing trustee of the Shah Safi Memorial Trust, Saiyed Sarawan, the Grand Milad Conference has been held in the courtyard of Jamia Arifia/Khanqah Arifia, where people from all religions and communities participate.
Before Dr. Munemi’s speech, Naqibussufiya Mufti Muhammad Kitabuddin Razwi delivered a speech emphasizing the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ, stating that the Prophets ﷺ personally ensured the fulfilment of all rights in every aspect of life and made His companions and all Muslims adhere to them. According to him, the only way to curb social unrest is to fulfil each other’s rights. If every individual starts fulfilling the rights of others, subsequently peace and harmony will prevail in the world.
The conference began with a soulful recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Kaleem Sahib, with Mr. Muhammad Ahmad (a Journalist at Watan Samachar, Delhi), playing the anchor role. Muhammad Zaka Saeedi, along with his companions, presented Hamd and Naats. The conference was attended by a significant number of men and women and various dignitaries from near and far. The event concluded with a special Dua by Sheikh Abu Saeed, followed by lunch for all attendees.
